The Memory of Water
by Shelagh Stephenson
14th to 17th March 2012
Memory of Water
A dark comedy where the family relationships are instantly recognisable.
On the eve of their Mother's funeral, three estranged sisters meet, bicker, reveal secrets and lies from the past, and realise their effect on the present.
The power of the past, distortions of memory and the strain of family bonds are all played out in this wonderfully funny and deeply felt play which won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy in 2000. It also achieved both commercial and further artistic success in the West End.
